Support counts when it comes to investing successfully

Support counts when it comes to investing successfully

We’ve all heard what it takes to live longer – exercise more, eat well and don’t smoke.

But, did you know that the state of your relationships plays an essential role as well?

Julianne Hold-Lunstad of Brigham Young University has revealed some startling facts.

She found that people with active social networks and support were 50% less likely to die of ANY cause in comparison to their non-social counterparts.

It’s as bad as smoking

Low levels of social interaction had the same effect as smoking 15 cigarettes a day!

And, a major way we interact with others in this back-biting, results-oriented, sometimes superficial world, is through working in teams.

Researchers believe that not having the support of a good team of people around us releases a cascade of damaging effects in the body which weakens the immune system.

This has far-reaching implications

Not just in relation to the team you’re working with, but also to how you approach your relationships.

Somewhere, right now, there is a person on this planet who is hoping you’ll call them.

Let’s face it…

You’re horrible at keeping in touch with people who love you.

You get too busy, you’re too distracted, you feel it’s going to take too much time… I get it.

The other thing I get though is the number of old-timers who tell me that life can zoom past and things get lonely unless you’re applying effort to your relationships.
