Alba eventually left Barcelona, joining Inter Miami on a free transfer. He reunited with former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi in the process.

Months after his move to Miami, Jordi Alba has made a return to Barcelona, not necessarily to don the old Blaugrana kit, though.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Alba returned to Barcelona to support the team amid the ongoing sporting turmoil.

Barça are indeed going through a difficult period, following a series of disappointing results that have put immense pressure on coach Xavi Hernandez, as well as the players.

Despite securing qualification to the Champions League knockout stages, Barcelona have fallen behind Real Madrid and Girona in the race for the league title.

As the club look to rebound from his sporting crisis, Alba is back in Catalonia to provide the team with some much-needed emotional support.

During his time in Barcelona, Alba spoke to various important figures within the club such as Xavi, along with captain Sergi Roberto. He also spoke to Raphinha, who was heartbroken after Barcelona’s draw with Valencia this past weekend.

Another player Alba spoke to was Ferran Torres, another player looking to ramp up his productivity in front of goal, as Barcelona continue to struggle with conversion rate up top.

Alba, meanwhile, is looking ahead to the holiday following the end of the 2023 edition of MLS. The left-back is set to make his return to the United States next year when the new edition kicks in.
