Barcelona 27-year-old winger still without an agent amid future speculations – report

Barcelona spent last summer scrimping and saving with their most expensive signing, Oriol Romeu, merely costing €3.4 million.

But the summer transfer window prior to that in 2022 was incredibly eventful. Barça secured a bucketload of high-profile acquisitions, which included the signing of Raphinha, who arrived from Leeds for a fee close to €59 million.

The Brazilian’s signing was not easy to come about, though. Barcelona’s economic situation imperiled their chances, as they were in a race with Arsenal and Chelsea. But eventually, Barcelona pulled through, and Deco played a major role in the transfer’s completion.

While Deco now operates as Barcelona’s sporting director, in 2022, he was Raphinha’s agent, and it was his intervention back then that allowed all parties to find common ground.

Raphinha is agent-less

However, Deco took over the reins as the Catalans’ sporting director last summer, for which he had to get out of player representation, leaving Raphinha stranded.

Now, according to SPORT the Brazilian winger is yet to appoint a new agent to oversee his career.

After bidding adieu to Deco, who could not continue in that role due to a conflict of interest, Raphinha proceeds to act solo for the time being.

Even so, given that he is under contract with Barça until 2027, it is likely that Raphinha will not be in a rush to sign with a new agency that will manage his career.

Despite the fact that the 27-year-old has no intention of leaving, Raphinha’s services are demanded by a fair few clubs.

As per previous information, the Catalan giants have slapped a €100 million price tag on him.

Although it appears doubtful that the Blaugranes will accept this offer as they are just interested in cash, Manchester United are open to an exchange deal and are willing to trade Jadon Sancho for Raphinha.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian clubs are also eager to recruit Raphinha and have attempted to do so in the past; they also have the financial means to meet Barcelona’s demand of €100 million if necessary.
