16-year-old Brazilian whizkid’s agent to hold talks with Barcelona over potential transfer to the club

16-year-old Brazilian whizkid’s agent to hold talks with Barcelona over potential transfer to the club

2024 promises to be a crucial year for Barcelona. The club are looking to leave their high salary mass behind for good and rebuild the team with a sustainable wage structure.

While Barça are already working on the exit of unwanted stars, they are also keeping tabs on the market for new players, with Willian Estevao emerging as one of the top targets.

The Palmeiras whizkid is seemingly becoming the next top talent in Brazilian football and has attracted interest from top clubs across Europe.

Estevao’s agent to be in Barcelona this week

However, in a crucial development, it appears Estevao’s agent Andre Cury will be in Barcelona this week to hold talks with the club, reports Adrian Sanchez.

The agent wants to engage in a deep discussion with the club management, as they find out economic solutions that will enable Barcelona to sign the player.

This comes on the back of reports that suggest Estevao is determined to join Barcelona, despite interest from other top clubs across Europe.

His agent, therefore, is ready to kickstart the process of pushing for a move to Catalonia, with his visit to Barcelona to be the first crucial step.

Deco is expected to play a key role in this discussion. The Barcelona sporting director played a crucial role in helping the club bring in Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense.

Now, Deco’s job is to find an agreement with Palmeiras, as well as Estevao’s agent, as the club look to bring in the talented winger.

However, a vital roadblock for Barcelona could be Palmeiras’ asking price for Estevao.

Even though the player has yet to make a mark in professional football, the club want Barça to pay a hefty €60 million release clause.

Beyond that, the presence of clubs like PSG, Chelsea, Man City, and United, who are interested in home and can meet the release clause value is another concern.

Therefore, it will be interesting to see how the discussion between Andre Cury and the Barcelona officials pan out this week.
